Life on Fandom, Mitchell could get used to. All the vampires with none of the bloodlust, a room full of good kids every week he'd so far not even felt the slightest urge to harm, and a housemate that didn't send his senses into overdrive.

Even if the housemate in question was a twat who could use a good smacking one of these days, but Mitchell was choosing to look at things from the bright side. For one, he now had a credible excuse to make a mess of the place - it upset Arnie. That kept him in good spirits.

That was the entire explanation why he was spending his morning eating old Chinese food from the fridge on their beaten-up couch, surrounded by an old pizza box or two. Life was good.

"That's the spirit."

Mitchell tapped his cigarette over said ashtray. "Thanks," he said, then promptly dumped it somewhere else.

He was a filth wizard.

George glared at Mitchell, but figured this was a battle he was going to lose. Instead, he went and began sorting through the various ingredients he had. "Look, the pots are even clean," George marveled. "That would be because you never use them, I imagine."

"I had pizza," Mitchell said, matter-of-factly. On that count, he yanked open the fridge to see if there was any left over in there. "They feeding you all right up in the dorms," he asked, idly.

"... It's not as bad as it could be," George admitted. "It's just that we're still in the cabins, and there's not really any proper place to cook there."

"Try not to eat yourself live, then," Mitchell said, grinning. No pizza in the fridge. Oh well. He closed it.

George rolled his eyes. "I'll do my best," he said. "If I have to come here every weekend and clean up to manage it."

"Cheers," Mitchell said, easily.

He perked up. "Guess what I got in today."

"... Another Laurel and Hardy DVD?"

"Meta for Citizen Kane," he said, and did the Mitchell equivalent of a bounce, which was mostly a verbal trick. "I saw it in theatres when it first came out."

"Really?" George perked up a bit at that, too. "I'd actually kinda love to see that. You think -- risotto, then movie? I think I picked up some popcorn kernels, too, I could do some of those up for the movie?"

"Sounds like we can make a day of it," Mitchell agreed, snagging the ashtray again. This time to get rid of his cigarette.

"Oh, and I did pick up some of that soda you like, and do you have any chocolate?" George asked, as he got started on the risotto itself. "Making a day of it sounds great."

"Somewhere," Mitchell said, vaguely. He put the ashtray back down. "Don't burn down my kitchen," he warned, before he started for the doorway.

George just grinned at the departing Mitchell. "I'll find it, then," he said. "And don't worry, I only burned a kitchen down the one time!"
