Office #26, Saturday

Parents' Weekend.

Mitchell had been happy to avoid the sudden influx of vampires by staying home during the picnic, but he was going to have to come out eventually - if anything, he had promised Kate he'd be around. On Saturday morning, he dragged himself out of the house to get to the office.

He didn't turn on the TV this time. Instead, he was spending most of the time in his office picking at his coffee and watching the door.

"Sure," Mitchell said, eying the door skeptically. "Audience all you like. Come in."

Teal'c stepped in and sat.

"I believe you have my... nephew in class."

This was Mitchell, pointing that skeptical look at Teal'c's forehead, now. "Sure," he said again. "Which one is your nephew?"

"His name is O'Neill," Teal'c said. "I am here to inquire about his academic achievements, and any disciplinary problems he may pose."

"Oh, Jon," Mitchell said. Not at all weirded out by the calling the child by his last name thing. "He's been coming along well. I... haven't seen any problems."

Was he some kind of demon, maybe?

"So he has been performing acceptably?" Teal'c said. "This is most pleasant to hear."

"He hasn't fallen asleep during any of my lectures," Mitchell said, thoughtfully. "I think that deserves a gold star--" Beat. Glance at Teal'c's forehead. "Not trying to offend you, obviously."

Teal'c quirked an eyebrow. "Indeed."

"You are referring to the mark of Apophis upon my forehead?"
