Hospital, Bristol, Monday

Early that morning, George had offered to get Annie a taxi. "Oh, no need," she'd said, and vanished before his very eyes; supposedly, back to the house, to see if the Door was still there. Which left George sitting at Mitchell's bedside, fidgeting, and watching the nurses argue about the heart monitor.
They were still pinning that on a possible defect in the system, but they were going to catch on sooner or later.
As the day progressed, he might have gone out to get some coffee occasionally, but mostly he spent his time here, watching Mitchell lie there, motionless, confounding the doctors. Apparently, his body hadn't forgotten how to simulate breathing just yet.
And because it wasn't enough of a clusterfuck yet, the hospital sent in a vicar later into the Monday evening, too, which was really complicated to deal with.
[[ for anyone who has reason to be in this Bristol hospital room any time today. spoilers for Being Human 1x06 likely if there are any comments. ]]

The vicar looked like he'd rather bang his head against a wall.

Even Kate wasn't that anti-Christianity.

Date: 2010-11-15 08:29 pm (UTC)"Maybe they're lost," the vicar prattled on as George dragged them down the hall. "I know I can never find anywhere in this place. In fact, on this one occasion--" He froze up at the sight of the two very burly men making their way down the hallway. "--oh."
The light flickered. For a moment, he was sure he'd seen black eyes and... and fangs? "What are they?" he stammered.
"Say something religious," George hissed back at him.
"Christ!"
"No!" George snapped. "From the bible!"

Yeah, she had nothing more to contribute at this point, and of course now, now staying in the room with Mitchell was looking like the smart, obvious option.

"Right, uh, yes." The vicar swallowed audibly. Grasping for something. "'When... When I was
a child, I spake as a child... I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put...'" he stammered once, then regained his courage. "'I put away childish things.'"
The vampires kept on their advance and advanced and-- stopped, like they'd hit some invisible barrier in the middle of the air.

Date: 2010-11-15 09:02 pm (UTC)George gave his Star of David necklace another tug. Just to be sure. "You can't come here!" he hollered. "You're not welcome here!"
