Had it not been for the ASS meeting tomorrow, Mitchell would've portalled back early today to catch George for a quick pint at their local (listening to the man rant about Americans during St. Patrick's Day would have been hilarious on several levels). But since he didn't have the opportunity, he'd settled for a phone call.

That had been a mistake.

For the second week running, Mitchell spent a good chunk of his office hours on the phone, soothing George about running into his ex-girlfriend at the hospital.

... actually, they sometimes were.

"Oh, no," Mitchell agreed, easily. "You're the least intriguing teenagers I've ever met."

He hadn't even gotten the chance to sit near them while they were having a normal discussion and he already knew they'd be hilarious.

Jack thought Kate was a brat. She also had an irritating habit of being more or less right. It confused him.

"Completely dull," he confirmed with a nod, as if he was glad to have that settled. "If you ever leave the class to us we'll put everyone to sleep."
